Introduction
From July 28 to 31, 2026, Bogotá, Colombia became the epicenter of Latin America’s medical technology landscape. MEDITECH 2026 — the region’s premier International Health Fair — brought together healthcare professionals, hospital procurement teams, distributors, and medical device manufacturers from across the globe at the Bogotá International Business and Exhibitions Center.

At Booth 2324B, our team spent four days doing what we do best: showcasing the engineering behind our patient monitoring accessories, meeting the people who rely on them in clinical settings every day, and building the kind of partnerships that go beyond a purchase order.
This article is a recap of our experience at MEDITECH 2026 — why we came, what we brought, and what it means for Medke’s growing presence in Latin America.
Why MEDITECH 2026 — and Why Bogotá?
Latin America’s healthcare market is evolving at a remarkable pace. According to regional health investment trends, countries across South and Central America are significantly expanding hospital infrastructure, upgrading monitoring equipment, and increasing procurement of medical consumables and accessories.
Colombia, in particular, has emerged as a strategic gateway to the wider Andean and Latin American market. Bogotá’s position as a regional business hub — combined with MEDITECH’s established reputation as the most influential medical fair in the region — made this event an obvious priority for Medke.
For a company rooted in Shenzhen’s world-class manufacturing ecosystem and serving clients across more than 50 countries, Latin America represents a high-growth frontier where quality, compatibility, and reliable after-sales support matter enormously to buyers.
MEDITECH 2026 was our opportunity to meet that market face to face.

The Conversations That Mattered
Numbers and product lists tell part of the story. The other part happened across four days of face-to-face conversations. At MEDITECH 2026, we spoke with:
From Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and Chile — evaluating suppliers for multi-year consumables contracts.
Looking to consolidate patient monitoring accessory sourcing under a single reliable manufacturer.
Interested in private-label manufacturing for branded products in Latin American and North American markets.
Seeking technically compatible alternatives to first-party accessories from major monitor manufacturers.
That is the conversation Medke is built for.
OEM & Custom Manufacturing: A Growing Opportunity
One area that exceeded our expectations at MEDITECH 2026 was the interest in OEM and ODM partnerships. Several established regional distributors expressed serious interest in working with Medke to develop private-label patient monitoring accessories for their local markets.
Our manufacturing capabilities in Shenzhen give us significant advantages:
From concept to sample in weeks, not months.
Accessible for regional distributors at various stages of growth.
CE, FDA 510(k), and ISO 13485 alignment for Latin American import requirements.
Full brand presentation support for target markets.
If you are a distributor or brand owner interested in exploring OEM collaboration, MEDITECH 2026 reinforced for us that now is the right time to have this conversation.
Looking Ahead: Medke and Latin America
MEDITECH 2026 was not a one-time event for Medke. It was a commitment.
Latin America is a market where we see genuine, durable growth in demand for high-quality, competitively priced patient monitoring accessories. The region’s hospitals are investing. Its distribution networks are maturing. And its buyers are increasingly sophisticated — they know the difference between a cable that performs and one that does not.
Over the coming months, Medke will be:
- Following up with every contact made at MEDITECH 2026
- Expanding our Latin American distributor network
- Continuing to develop product compatibility for regional monitor brands
- Evaluating attendance at other regional medical trade events
